    Rural Development Centre (RDC) Nepal is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable organization established in June 2002 registering at District Administration Office (DAO) in Rautahat. It has affiliation with Social Welfare Council (SWC) . It has got registered at Internal Revenue Department of Tax office Simra, Bara. RDC Nepal has been established to carry out different activities focusing on the welfare of children, youths and women, health and education, accountability ,water and sanitation, sustainable environment, livelihood, income generation activities, disaster management, conflict, information and technology and other critical issues and right based issues. The RDC Nepal has been working in rural areas for Dalit, ethnic, marginalized and deprived families, communities and children, youths and women.

Projects

Disaster Risk Management Program

This project is focus on 3 basic components, CBDRR, HBC and Advocacy. The major objective of the project is to mainstream DRR to reduce poverty and sufferings of women, children and socially excluded families living in the district and targeted VDCs and enhancing their resiliency leading to well being of the community.

Micro Enterprise Development Program

Nepal is known as a poor country in the world. its' 142 position in HDI and 31 % of poor population proved its poverty through out the Country. In one hand, we have very limited source of income beyond the Agriculture sector, although we have lot of resource like forest, Water, Mine etc.

Activities

LRP/Social mobilization

Nepal recently emerged from a decade long civil conflict which inflicted extensive social and economic hardship on the nation. Since the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Accord (CPA) in November 2006, a few significant changes have taken place including the end of monarchy, declaration of Nepal as a Federal Democratic Republic, and election of the Constituent Assembly.

Human Liberty Initiatives

Human Liberty Initiative Project mainly focuses on Trafficking, Exploitation and Slavery along with child labor that exists in the community. There are three part of this project, Prevention, Protection and Prosecution against trafficking, exploitation and slavery. RDC Nepal works on the prevention part.
